Hedda Gabler is freshly married to George Tesman. They have just returned from a perfect honeymoon, they have secured the most desirable home in town, and a family is on the near horizon. For Hedda, there’s just one problem: She’s miserable.
Please join us for GTP’s most ambitious project yet- the Ibsen classic, Hedda Gabler. In true GTP style, we’ve given the script a tweaking and some punch. We’ve also invited guest director- Matt Trucano to lead the way in this tension-building piece and for the first time in COMO, GTP is performing in a real theatre!!! But of course we’ll have our non-traditional GTP spin on it. Join us!
Acting Company: Elizabeth Braaten Palmieri, Jackson Harned, Monica Palmer, Catherine Scarboro, Ian Matthew Sobule, Jason Stanley and guest artist Julia Valen.
This project is presented with gracious support by our sponsors: Restoration Eye Care (Dr. Timothy McGarity), MPIX, Shelter Insurance, NH Scheppers Distributing, Top Ten Wines and The Columbia Office of Cultural Affairs!
THE ROOM PROJECT
November 18-24, multiple times daily
@ Breakout CoMo, 218 N 8th St, Columbia, MO
An immersive art installation experience in collaboration with Breakout CoMo. Conceived by GTP Artistic Director Elizabeth Braaten Palmieri and designed by artist Duncan Bindbuetel.
How we curate our lives says something profound about our deeper selves. In this time capsule- we see an apartment, loaded with the private belongings of someone. Imbedded clues, folded into the structure invite us to use our 5 senses to unlock the story. Is this an abandoned space or will the proprietor return soon? Immerse yourself into this captured environment and find out.
Groups of 10 people at a time will be allowed 50 minutes in the room. This is not an escape room and you will not be asked to work as a team to solve puzzles; rather, think of this as a journey into the world of someone’s mysterious past.
Multiple viewings each day Nov. 18-24. Times vary. Tickets on sale here Nov. 6!
